Anegada road rehabilitation project begins
Ninth District representative, Honourable Vincent O. Wheatley, who provided an update on the project, said the rehabilitation works will be completed in four phases.
The first phase will cover approximately 1,200 linear feet of roadway.
According to Minister Wheatley, fill material is currently being placed to level and prepare the road. This will be followed by grading, formwork, and concrete paving.
Phases to be completed in 1 month
Each phase of the project is expected to take approximately one month. Minister Wheatley said he will continue to monitor the progress of the works and keep residents informed.
He expressed appreciation to the residents of Anegada and all road users for their patience and cooperation as the project advances.
The rehabilitation project is expected to improve road conditions and strengthen the island’s road infrastructure, particularly along the route leading toward Cow Wreck.
