SETTING POINT, Anegada, VI- Anegada is buzzing with excitement as restaurants, accommodations, attractions, and experience providers finalize preparations for the 13th Annual Anegada Lobster Festival, returning from 28th – 30th November 2025. Produced by the British Virgin Islands Tourist Board & Film Commission (BVITBFC) in collaboration with the Anegada community, the festival remains a signature event for food lovers, cultural explorers, and adventure seekers.

This year’s festival continues its dynamic scavenger-hunt-style format, encouraging visitors to sample creative lobster dishes at nine participating restaurants while exploring Anegada’s breathtaking natural and cultural sites. It’s a weekend designed to celebrate the best of Anegada, its cuisine, its people, and its unspoiled beauty.

A Warm Island Welcome

Festivalgoers arriving by ferry will be greeted dockside with live music by fan-favourite Two Smooth and complimentary welcome cocktails courtesy of Caribbean Cellars. Guests will also receive the official Anegada Passport, featuring maps, restaurant listings, attraction highlights, and space for stamps and validations. Branded Anegada Lobster Festival merchandise for sale along with giveaways will be available at the BVI Tourist Board’s Booth at the Anegada Dock on Saturday, 29th November and Sunday, 30th November, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Enter to Win: Fun for Adults and Children

Adults can enter the festival raffle for a chance to win:

  • Grand Prize: Roundtrip airfare for two from Tortola to Puerto Rico on Cape Air
  • Second Prize: A two-night stay at Anegada Beach Club

To qualify, adults must collect stamps from all nine participating restaurants, confirming that they sampled each location’s signature lobster offering.

Children ages 7–12 can join the Junior Explorer Tour Challenge, visiting at least four of seven designated attractions. Passport entries will be validated with photos taken onsite and verified by BVITBFC representatives at the Anegada dock. Junior prizes are courtesy of CCT BVI, Wireless Photography, Island Services, The Bunker, Omar’s, and the National Bank of the Virgin Islands.

All completed passports must be submitted at day’s end to the BVITBFC booth for verification and entry into
the prize draws.

Getting to Anegada

Travelling to the festival is easier than ever. Expanded transportation options include scheduled ferries, car barges, and private charters from Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke, St. John and St. Thomas. Air arrivals are covered by Fly BVI between Beef Island and Anegada, and a special trip by Fly the Whale between St. Croix and Anegada on Saturday, 29th November. Full transportation schedules are available on the BVI Food Fete Website and Facebook page.

Getting Around the Island

Free festival shuttles will run between participating restaurants from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Independent taxis will also be available for service using the official Government Taxi Tariff rates.

A Message from the Director of Tourism

“We are excited to unveil this year’s Anegada Lobster Festival, which encourages full participation by adults and children alike,” said Director of Tourism Clive McCoy. “With amazing prize drawings, free shuttles, giveaways, the return of the Anegada Passport, and a public vote for best lobster sampler, we’re taking the festival back to its roots, celebrating not only incredible food but the rich culture, natural beauty and amazing attractions of this unique island. We especially encourage families to join us on Saturday, traditionally our biggest family day, with increased ferry service to accommodate demand.”

The ALFFY Award: Vote for the Best Lobster Sampler

Participating restaurants will compete for the coveted ALFFY Award, honouring the festival’s best lobster sampler. This year, the winner will be chosen by popular vote, with festivalgoers submitting ratings via forms available on the BVI Food Fete website and Facebook page. The award, a striking metal sculpture of a spiny lobster mounted on wood, was designed and crafted by local artist Aragorn Dick-Read of Aragorn Studios.

More Than Just Lobster

Attendees can also immerse themselves in Anegada’s signature attractions, including Flamingo Point Lookout, Conch Shell Mounds (Conch Island), Faulkner House Museum, Fisherman’s Wharf, and Iguana Headstart Facility.

For adventure seekers, Anegada offers a full suite of outdoor activities, from snorkelling, kiteboarding, kayaking, and horseback riding, to scooter rentals and this year’s newest addition, ATV tours.
