‘All In’ blazes to victory twice in powerboat races @ West End

WEST END, Tortola, VI- COVID-19 has been stopping many traditional events this emancipation season; however, there was nothing stopping exciting power boat racing at Romney Park, West End, on Sunday, August 2, 2020.

The well supported event, organised by the Boat Drama Racing Club, provided a perfect occasion for persons and their families to enjoy the races in a suitable social distancing setting.

On the waters, ‘All In’, a 22FT Apache captained by Jacen Winter, registered the win in the opening event, the Chaim Todman ‘Choke Off’ Classic for boats 20-22ft with 245-260 HP engines.

‘All In’ would return to prevail also in Race 6, a 20-22 FT Shootout.

Other results

Meanwhile, Race two belonged to ‘C-16’, a 21ft Progression. That race was for boats 20-22ft with 280-300 HP engines.

Race 3 and 4 were cancelled; however, Race 5 came off and it belonged to 30ft HellKat, ‘Game Changer’, skippered by Jareem Todman.

Race 7, the final race of the day, was a 30ft Shoot Out. 'Trash Money', a 30ft Spectre skippered by Chubb Rock, emerged victorious.

According to the organisors, they are pleased with the support from both boaters and spectators alike.
