This phase of the project extends from Fat Hogs Bay to Long Swamp in East End and will make way for the initial stages of the road reinstatement.

Scope of works

Acting Chief of Infrastructure Research and Development in the Ministry of Communications and Works, Mr Duane Fraites outlined the scope of works:

  • Friday, September 30, between the Vanterpool Estate’s ‘Bus Stop’ and Fine Foods.
  • Saturday, October 1, between Vanterpoo Estate’s ‘Bus Stop’ and the entrance to ‘DeDe’s Rentals’
  • Sunday, October 2, water and sewer works for entire stretch with minimum road interruption.
  • Monday, October 3, between the junction adjacent ‘Nature’s Way’ to Fat Hogs Bay.

Mr Fraites said motorists departing and commuting to East End and Long Look should use the Ridge Road route option, by way of Little Dix Hill Road to commute to and from Road Town.

Motorists and pedestrians are advised to exercise caution and follow all signage while traversing the area.

You got selective memory, man. The District 1 Rep was there for over 20 years and did nothing. This political term, he fixed the Community Center, West End and the Frenchmans Cay Bridge. I am not counting the personal favours for they supposedly only visible to the person receiving them. You miss your handouts at election time because he didn't give a damn about street water, bush or roadways. He cared about getting your votes, so he paid handsomely for that. The District? Never cared about that. Especially Carrot Bay as it seems $200 was enough for most of you to give him your vote. Oh, pardon me. A lot of non-farmers and non-fisher folks got thousands of free money, but please take the time and sit down and open your minds and think.

Please let them fix the roads correctly this time and NO PATCHWORK which comes apart from the first big truck that rumbles across it. We are tired and worn out traveling our roads in the east end. Please please please fix this ongoing dangerous job RIGHT THIS TIME!

Hon Marlon Penn gave away millions dollars for this same project years ago. He did it by diverting allocation funds under the table!

NDP was a clear disaster for the VI, just like Irma. No hope for VIP either, they gone soft as ice cream! 13 fighters for democracy must stand up and choose to support the people of the VI in this time!

Every district present your nominees so the people can have hope again! We need you now hidden ones, spark a renaissance from the old to the new!

If he did, the road, especially the main roads on that district would have alread be fixed, even more especially the sewerage problem.
He doesn't care much for the people of the D7. Re-election is his main goal. He is a crook like his outcastes former boss under house arrest in the USA.

THE ULTIMATE POWER OF ANY COUNTRY LIES SOLELY ON ITS PEOPLE, COLLECTIVELY WE PROTEST AND HAVE THINGS DONE.
WE ARE PAYING TAXES AND CAR LICENCE -- THE GOVT WANT OUR VEHICLES TO BE ROAD WORTHY BUT ARE THE ROAD CAR WORTHY?

The people should not have to cry out to get things done. Leadership is on life support.
