CLEMSON, North Carolina, USA- Virgin Islands sprint sensation Adaejah T. Hodge became the first athlete from the Virgin Islands (VI) to run under 23.00 seconds as a college athlete when she captured gold in the Women’s 200m at the Tiger Paw Invitational 2026 on Saturday, February 14, 2026.

Hodge clocked 22.51 to improve her Indoor World Lead at the Clemson Indoor Track & Field Complex in Clemson, North Carolina. The University of Georgia Sophomore had opened her season with a World Lead run of 22.53 when she placed first in the Women’s 200m Final at the Razorback Invitational on January 30, 2026.

Coming in second on Saturday was JaMeesia Ford of the University of South Carolina in 22.61. Ford actually holds the facility record of 22.36 in the 200m (set in 2025).

Third was Kaila Jackson of the University of Georgia, who ran a Season’s Best 23.05.

PB in 60m

Meanwhile, Adaejah also recorded a new Personal Best in the 60M semis with a 7.13s finish at the same Tiger Paw Invitational.

The Virgin Islander has already qualified for the 2026 World Indoors in the 60m.
