Adaejah T. Hodge named Panam Sports Ambassador

MIAMI, Florida, USA- The Virgin Islands’ (VI) sprinter Adaejah T. Hodge has been named a Pan American Sports Organisation Ambassador, as part of the Team Panam Sports campaign for the ASU2025 Junior Pan American Games.

According to information from Panam Sports, Hodge is one of seven ambassadors selected who are World, Pan American and South American champions and who are great examples on and off the field. 

Selected to promote the youth sports festival

The 19-year-old was described as one of the “two fastest women in the world in the Under 20 category” and a standout athlete. 

The new ambassadors were chosen after successful campaigns for Lima 2019, Santiago 2023 and Paris 2024.

They are outstanding athletes who, at their young age, have shone on the world stage in each of their sports and are expected to be the standout figures of ASU 2025, Panam Sports said.

Exceptional Athletes- Panam Sports President

The President of Panam Sports, Neven Ilic, called the team an extraordinary group of athletes made up of world medalists, Pan American medalists and top senior rankings. 

“The most important thing is that they are exceptional athletes, true examples not only in their countries, but also in the entire continent, who we are sure will represent in the best way all the athletes who will be part of the ASU Junior Pan American Games 2025.”

The other ambassadors are Brazilian Guilherme Caribe, Jamaican Alana Reid, Stefany Cuadrado of Colombia, Chile's Matías González, Paraguay's Nicole Martínez, and American Lazer Crawford.

    Not sure why her winning (or not) before McMaster should matter. After all, the Virgin Islands will continue to make great strides either way. Congrats to Ms. Hodge and her counterparts!
