Adaejah T. Hodge claims SEC Indoor 200m gold; National Record

COLLEGE STATION, Texas, USA- Virgin Islands sprint queen Adaejah T. Hodge captured gold in the Women’s 200m at the 2026 SEC Indoor Track and Field Championships at Fasken Indoor Track & Field in College Station, Texas on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

The University of Georgia freshman and highly decorated track athlete claimed victory with a 22.32s run, the best time over that distance in the NCAA this season.

According to the University of Georgia, Hodge won Georgia its first SEC Championship in the women's 200m since Olympic medalist Lynna Irby finished first in 2018.

According to the BVI Athletics Association (BVIAA), Hodge looked comfortable around the curve and blazed to an amazing 8th in collegiate indoor history, setting a new National Record for the Virgin Islands.
