GAINESVILLE, Florida, USA- Virgin Islands sprint phenom Adaejah T. Hodge, OLY, delivered a jaw-dropping and record-breaking performance in the 100m at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational in Gainesville, Florida, on Saturday, April 18, 2026.

The University of Georgia freshman, Hodge, obliterated the competition at the Percy Beard Track with a blistering 10.77 seconds in the women’s 100-metre dash.

Hodge’s time is a world lead, a National record for the Virgin Islands, and stands as the No. 2 all-time performance in NCAA history.

It was also time that a female from the Virgin Islands ran under 11 seconds in the 100m.

The previous National Record of 11.11 was also held by Hodge.

    Adaejah T. Hodge brought pride to the Virgin Islands with a phenomenal 10.77 victory in the women’s 100m at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational in Gainesville. The run broke her own national record, is the fastest time in the world this season, and ranks second all time in NCAA history. She also became the first Virgin Islands woman to run under 11 seconds, lowering her previous record of 11.11 in a truly historic performance.
