Teach them how to answer questions on the spot, a set of dunce ladies…no man that had to be stage fright, I was feeling so embarrassed.

Yes it was! They need to bring in outside judges like what they did for this show! I love it! Too much biasness with local judges!

She deserved that crown. We have watered down Miss BVI standards so much. She was everything!!!!!

Fright it's not easy being in front of a crowd. It's nerve wrecking it does not matter how long or short you have been doing it. Courage is the key their minds went blank it happens to the best of people. They should have fed them backstage their brains was foggy from hunger and tiredness. They tried

It was judged fairly. The other girls weren't ready at all. They ate not sharp( meaning they act so slow like they just leave high school).

In case you didn’t know Contestant No. 1 DID NOT answer the question about the Financial Services Regulatory Framework.

The judges themselves had no clue what the question was about and awarded her Ms. Intellect when she responded with how to bring more money into the agricultural sector.

It was embarrassing to hear people clapping and cheering to answers that were so wrong but they also didn’t know any better.

Contestant No. 7 had talent, intellect, and the best cultural wear.

She answered that Financial Services question…not Contestant No. 1 who spoke about agriculture.

By networking right?. You are right that contestant 1 didn’t answer but the only one who was close was No 4 to that question.

Don’t be a sour puss now! We need not have too much local judges at these show for fear on not being impartial. I hope you heal from your mental deficiency of hatred.!

None of the contestants answered the question well period. The question was indeed a hard question but these ladies had the list of questions before hand and were given time to prepare.

Did you give them the questions prior to the show ? Because I can guarantee you that they didn’t

Congratulations....to the winner. That was a fair judgement not what they did last week Sunday night. I guess they had more matured judges.
    Congrats young lady.

I think it Was fair except for the talent segment. That is just my opinion you don't have to agree .
    • @ Fair (22/07/2024, 12:59) Like (13) Dislike (2) Reply
You mean except the Intellect segment.

That question went way over so many people’s heads including the Judges.

Contestants 4 and 7 were closest to a more fitting answer not Contestant No. 1 who responded with fishing (a lot of talking with no substance that had nothing to do with the Financial Services Industry).

Being a lawyer, #1 could have answered that question just based on her legal training without knowing a thing about financial services but she botched it royally! The shameful part is that they ALL had the questions beforehand so should have been somewhat prepared.
They were all focused on appearance and nothing between their ears. The show was nevertheless judged fairly overall but if Miss Intellet was based solely on the question segment, #1 shoudl nto have received that award. #4 had the best response to that question

I must say that the prince and princess show set the bar high for the show last night but somehow it couldn't keep up the standard. I really thought it was going to be exceptional for the 70th. The platform should have been geared totally towards the olden days.yes we are in modern days but a bit more would have spice it up a bit more. Carry the crowd to that level and bring the house down it's all about outside the box.

I was so mad last night. From paying $160, to not getting the table I asked for, to arguing with people over nonsense, to having to wait for the show to start as it started really late, to not getting food, to have to wait until 2am to announce the winner. WORST MISS BVI SHOW EVER. The standard was too low. I was embarrassed not only for the girls but also for production. Never me again. Never ever.

We Know what starting time is about in BVI. Contestants and their chaperones were to be there from 8am. They would have eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner right there IF THEY NEEDED TO. Plus, with so many ladies, they were to say starting time is 5pm so if it ran late in starting...it would have started at least 6:00 or 6:30.

From listening on radio, the show wasn't all that was expected for the 70th. Barely any entertainment in between I was bored but good thing was, I had my kitchen nearby to run to for things to eat and I didn't spend a dime for TSHIRT warranted show lol.

no problem with outside judges but make sure that they are intelligent enough to know the answer to the questions as well
    • @ Hello (22/07/2024, 12:52) Like (15) Dislike (1) Reply
      Exactly!!!!!!

The judges were clueless on that question and Contestant #7 answered it not Contestant No. 1 who went on and on about the Fisheries Complex, catching local fish, and agriculture that is not related to the Financial Services Sector.

That was a bad idea. Do not put people on the stage where the contestants are performing. You will throw people off.

It was so ghetto having crates of food on the VIP tables on stage, gift bags on the floor, etc.

Imagine the contestants hungry while on the stage smelling that and can’t concentrate.

But they need to give back this show to the festival committee, TB did a terrible job they're just not ready.

Surprise they imported MC (male) because they were the worst.....Let's go back to the old festival committee.

Thank you soo much I enjoyed watching it from my home for free. I loved that once it finished all I had to do was close my eyes and did not have to drive through the rain. Watching at home all the angles on my lush chair and my fridge at my disposal was great. Also the money I saved from spending for clothes, seats, hairdos, show tickets, food at the venue was great. Today I am hearing so many of my coworkers complain about not getting this and that and I am soo thankful. Thank you CCT you rock!

i honor no females that are hanging around Streetman who involved are in illegal activities.

so if any of these females are the same females on fast boat or clubbing/partying with strange men then screw that.

But if yuh clean shine on ladies all the best!
