ACoP Jacqueline E. Vanterpool standing tall @ police conference in Guyana

Ms Vanterpool and her team are currently in Georgetown, Guyana, for the 39th Association of Caribbean Commissioners of Police (ACCP) Annual General Meeting and Conference.
Among the twenty-five visiting Commissioners in Guyana, Acting Commissioner Vanterpool is one of three female Commissioners in attendance.
The other female Commissioners are Commissioner Shanta Knowles of the Royal Bahamas Police Force and Deputy Commissioner Dr Mashena Sealey of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force.
Photographs shared by the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) show Vanterpool in attendance at various functions, interacting with the other commissioners and also meeting the President of Guyana, Dr Mohamed Irfaan Ali, and the Commissioner of the Guyana Police Force (GPF), Clifton Hicken.
The 2025 ACCP Annual General Meeting and Conference is being held under the theme ‘United in Action, Transformed in Purpose: Building an Integrated Caribbean Security Architecture’.
It is being held at the Arthur Chung Convention Centre, Railway Embankment Road in Greater Georgetown.
'No fear!'
In an interview with JTV Channel 55 on May 9, 2025, before leaving the Territory for Guyana, the Acting CoP was asked if there was any sense of “discomfort” in travelling to Guyana following the unrest in certain parts of the country following the death of 11-year-old Adrianna Younge on April 24, 2025.
Ms Cathy O. Richards asked her, “Are you very comfortable with going there in this season?”
“Certainly, Cathy, I am,” Acting CoP Vanterpool answered.
Ms Vanterpool explained that attendees of the conference and meeting are being engaged with a packed agenda. The conference, which began on Monday, May 12, will end on Friday, May 16, 2025. Events are occurring in the mornings, afternoons and evenings, she said.
“I also have been following the news, so I am quite aware of what you are speaking of and also I have been in direct contact with Commissioner [Clifton] Hicken…and he reassured us there is absolutely nothing to worry about…we are going in ease and comfort, knowing that we are going in there in peace and we come back out in peace,” she stated.
Ms Vanterpool added that she was informed that the area where they are staying has nothing to do with the unrest that is happening due to the young girl's death.
“It’s just a sad situation, but he reassured us there’s nothing absolutely to be worried about.”

@ Bad timing. Your naive comment should not even been published. She suppose to know that that young man was going to get gunned down? save the bull sh** comment
Commissioner John Augustus Cockburn Cruikshank, another UK-appointed Rep in the late 1940s and mid-1950s , was a terror; supposed master of all he surveyed , demonstrating autocratic behavior. When the people had enough of his crap, led by national hero Theodolph Faulkner, they actively ( 1500 of them from a population of approx 7000), actively protested to get their concerns redress. The Great March of November 1949 yielded results. Daniel Pruce is exhibiting Cruikshank liked attitudes and behaviors . Let’s support ACoP Vanterpool.
