ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Some nine local construction firms have submitted bids for demolition and debris clearance works at Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS).

This was announced by the Virgin Islands Recovery and Development Agency (RDA) on November 4, 2021.

“Today a tender closing was held at the RDA office for the Demolition and Debris Clearance Works at the Elmore Stoutt High School. We are happy to report that we received 9 tenders from local construction firms…” the RDA posted on its Facebook page.

It said the tenders will now go through the evaluation process and a contract will be awarded to the best bid.

A number of buildings at ESHS, including some under construction, were destroyed by hurricanes Irma and Maria in September 2017.

My bid was Zero dollar. Because I have 3 children attending the school. My offer was rejected. I'm done with these government ministers.

What we the parents want to know is when they are going to start building to accommodate all the students, so that children can have a full day of school.
