SALISBURY, North Carolina- You are never too old to do many things, including parachuting, as proven by 84-year-old Virgin Islander Ivy Hodge-Baker recently.

Hodge-Baker, originally from Frenchman's Cay, fulfilled a lifelong dream on December 16, 2023, when she parachuted over Salisbury, North Carolina.

Her daughter, Emma Baker, told Virgin Islands News Online (VINO), Hodge-Baker was overjoyed at the experience and encouraged others to pursue their goals no matter their age.

      I say anyone who is running for Political office this should be part of package. Parachute out of a plane thousands of feet in the air. Prove you have the guts to do this and you will get my vote.

    That is awesome. I tried sky diving to overcome my fear of heights and it worked. Now I can go up to the top of the Empire State Building and enjoy the breath taking view of New York City.

    That’s awesome - I don’t even think I have the courage to do that. I’m best friends with Ivy’s grandson and he had the courage to anything / everything he’s wanted to do…now I see where he gets it from - his grandma Ivy. Ur a hardcore lady Mrs Hodge-Baker!
