ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The 71st Virgin Islands Emancipation Festival will be launched at the Road Town Market Square on Friday, May 30, 2025.

The launch celebration, from 5:00 PM, will also reveal the 2025 Festival Theme and Slogan Competition winners.

Organisers promise an evening of food, fun, fair and festivities at the launch.

The entertainment lineup includes Razor Blades, Nouveau Royale Dancers and Optimum Sky Dancers.

    The 70th VI Emancipation Festival No No's of the culture.. No Half naked people, No Wutliss Wuk, No paying to go inside village. No extended Rise and Shine 4 am to 8 am, done. , No late start of parade 1030am latest start, Festival celebrations for one week. lets celebrate and not try to get rich for the few days. 191 years of liberty respect it, honor it, do it right.     I haven't heard a meeting to meet with all local bands, hear what we have to say, what we have to offer to help improve our Festival and decreasing our cost...I still believe in a pre Festival Fun Raiser for BVI bands interested in taking part in the festival, each band do a 45 mins session, Free, no pay, , hear what they have to offer..You maybe surprised...
