7 to represent VI @ 5th NACAC Athletics Championships in Bahamas

Seven (7) of the Virgin Islands' elite track and field athletes have been selected to represent the Territory in various events.
The most notable athletes include Pan Am Games gold medallist and Olympian Chantel E. Malone and sprinter Rikkoi A.R. Brathwaite.
President Steve Augustine noted, "A total of seventeen (17) athletes were initially selected to represent the Territory at the 2025 NACAC Championships to continue to increase our participation in Athletics at the highest level. The NACAC Championships is a great regional opportunity for athletes to get the exposure that they need before taking the next steps.
"The final participation count is now seven (7), and this is due to various factors as athletes prepare for their collegiate requirements and set their performance schedules for the season."

Mr Augustine also noted how excited he was to have a few of the VI's elite athletes on the roster, as well as newcomer Kimberly A. Smith, all of whom he anticipates will be medal contenders.
