52-year-old man charged for Unlawful & Malicious Wounding

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Police have charged a 52-year-old man of Purcell Estate for Unlawful and Malicious Wounding.

According to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) Arrest Blotter for the period May 21-June 3, 2023, Luis Vanterpool was arrested and charged on May 26, 2023.

Vanterpool was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 signed surety and is to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on July 13, 2023.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A PROHIBITED FIREARM

  1. On 25-05-2023 at 0633hrs, Police arrested and charged Ramone David, 38, native of Trinidad and Tobago, residing in Spooner’s Estate on two counts of Possession of a Prohibited Firearm, Keeping a Firearm without a Licence, and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. He appeared before Magistrate’s Court and was placed on remand.

  2. On 25-05-2023 at 0635hrs, Police arrested and charged Akiba Joseph, a native of Trinidad and Tobago, residing in Spooner’s Estate with two counts of Possession of a Prohibited Firearm, Keeping a Firearm without a Licence and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. He appeared before Magistrate’s Court and was placed on remand.

KEEPING A FIREARM WITHOUT A LICENCE

  1. On 25-05-2023 at 0643hrs, Police arrested and charged Blugh Mongra, 42, a native of Trinidad and Tobago, residing in Spooner’s Estate for Keeping a Firearm without a Licence. He appeared before Magistrate’s Court and was placed on remand.  

  2. On 25-05-2023 at 0645hrs, Police arrested and charged Renia Fahie, 39, of Spooner's Estate, for Keeping a Firearm without a Licence. She was granted bail to appear later in Magistrate’s Court.

INDECENT ASSAULT

On 25-05-2023 about 1213hrs, Police arrested and charged a 14-year-old male of Anegada with two counts of Indecent Assault. He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 with one surety to appear before Magistrate’s Court on 12-07-2023.

ASSAULT OCCASIONING ACTUAL BODILY HARM

  1. On 26-05-2023 a 0100hrs, Police arrested and charged Kyle Baronville, 33, of Carrot Bay for Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm. He was given bail to appear at Magistrate’s Court on 13-06-2023.

  2. On 02-06-2023 at 1420hrs Police arrested and charged Shakhoi McMaster, 23, for Assault Causing Actual Bodily Harm. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 with one surety to appear before Magistrate’s Court on 18-07-2023.

FAILING TO COMPLY WITH A LAWFUL ORDER GIVEN BY POLICE

On 26-05-2023 at 1650hrs, Police arrested and charged Troy William Jr., 22, of Virgin Gorda for Failing to Comply with a Lawful Order given by Police, Threatening Language, Insulting Language, Disorderly Conduct and Obstructing Police. He was granted bail to appear before Magistrate’s Court on 10-07-2023.

FAILING TO STOP AT THE SOUND OF A SIREN

  1. On 26-05-2023 at 2035hrs, Police arrested and charged Armando Richards, 25, of East End for Failing to Stop at the Sound of a Siren, Common Assault, Driving without a Driver’s Licence, Driving an Uninsured Vehicle, Driving Unlicenced Vehicle, Driving in Contravention of the Direction of Traffic, Driving without Crash Helmet and Reckless and Negligent Act. He was granted signed bail in the sum of $2,000 to appear before Magistrate’s Court on 13-07-2023.

  2. On 02-06-2023 about 1851hrs, Police arrested and charged Clifton Frett, 59, of Long Trench for the Failing to Stop at the Sound of a Siren, Threatening Language, Indecent Language and Insulting Language. He was granted bail to the sum of $2,000 to appear before Magistrate’s Court on 20-07-2023 at 0900hrs.

    Yep where is the police that was using threatening language against a youth and put his hands on him when the youth did not hit him back or fight back?

    Undercover & Plain clothes officers running around 24/7 and he think because he took off his uniform its OK to act like a thug putting hands on peoples children?
