ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Last week, the Virgin Islands Recovery and Development Agency (RDA), in partnership with the Government of the Virgin Islands, signed a contract for the Major Peebles Wing Clinics’ Lobby Renovations.

The contract was awarded to Supreme Construction Engineering Management Services for $463,087.20.

According to the RDA, this project forms part of the wider BVI Health Services Authority Infrastructure Improvement Programme that includes multiple projects focused on strengthening health services infrastructure throughout the Territory.

The Major Peebles Wing is located at Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital in Road Town. It houses key facilities, including the Immigration Clinic, the Dental Unit, and the Hemodialysis Unit.

    Also, the East End clinic is closed most of the time because it needs renovation. We have all been sent to the Long Look clinic.

      One question, or concern. What is RDA role apart from signing contracts, just curious, Realizing they have a large staff.

        You can find everything about the agency here https://bvirecovery.vg/ . For the most part, they are responsible for implementing and delivering public sector projects. From project concept to completions, they provide project management services, procurement, monitoring & evaluation, financial management, communication, problem solve, and stakeholder engagement. They work hand-in-hand with the respective ministries to delivery each project in a timely manner and economically efficient manner.

    Why is BVIHSA renting the old flow building opposite the road market with so much empty spaces at that huge hospital.? This government keep finding ways to put money in supporters and cronies bank acc. Why?
