30 years until possibility of parole for Kenyatta ‘Yhats’ Boynes
The sentence was handed down in the High Court today, February 6, 2017.
Boynes also received a 10 year sentence for the attempted murder charge. The sentences are to run concurrently.
Mr Boynes at the time of his being charged for the offenses of murder and attempted murder was an inmate at Her Majesty’s Prison after he had pleaded guilty on January 26, 2015, before Senior Magistrate Tamia N. Richards at the Magistrate's Court at John's Hole, to charges of unlawful possession of 16.5 grams of cannabis, an AK 47 assault rifle and possession of 17 rounds of ammunition.
