3-vehicle accident on Sleepy Hill; At least 1 injured

SOPHIE BAY, Tortola, VI- At least one person is said to have been injured following what has been reported as a 3-vehicle accident on Sleep Hill, Sophie Bay on the main island of Tortola.

The accident took place just after 7:00 PM today, Saturday, December 30, 2023.

Reports are that two of the vehicles collided head-on.

The circumstances surrounding the mishap remain unclear at this time.

More details will be provided as they come in.

    I hope the injuries aren’t life threatening; the government is full of *@"£$ for not paving that road up to now.

      You very well know some people can’t drive period. They drive without due care to other motorists. Some always speeding going nowhere. I really do hope all recover well.
      Drive cautiously and be safe out there.

        On many occasions I’ve seen drivers run away from that concrete portion of the hill and on to the paved portion of the road causing near misses to occur.

      The lack of paving shouldn’t be an issue - just drive on the concrete - there is no need to drive on the wrong side of the road.

    Either pave it or make it all concrete. People coming up are driving wide and people coming down are driving wide because the barrier is not fixed.

    Brighter Lights are needed on ALL the roads. From East to West. It is totally ridiculous in this day and age. Right hand drive, that's another nightmare on Virgin Islands roads.
