3 traffic collisions & oil spill on Ridge Road

ROAD TOWN, Totorla, VI- There were multiple traffic collisions and an oil spill on Ridge Road earlier this morning, Saturday, September 26, 2026.

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) is advising motorists to proceed with caution on the roadway. 

According to information provided to the media, there were three accidents in the area: one close to Spring Ghut Pap, another adjacent to Lower Hope near the well and one along the incline where the oil spill occurred but has since been cleared. The oil spill was as a result of one of the accidents. 

Officers are still on scene at the other two.

    Dangerous, but now they really have to slow their roll. There should be signs posted on each end of the road, too, for those who are coming and going, warning drivers of the oil spill. Stay safe out there, people.

    Sooo when are they going to fix those two big holes at the top of lower hope by the well??! And the one water and sewage can’t get right by the church?

    Do we need a major accident first or what?

    Nobody in that section of that department live East and does travel the hill?
