3 times a charm for Scotiabank BVI!
Making the announcement at a black-tie reception in London in December 2015, the publication also named Scotiabank Bank of the Year in Grenada, Belize and the Bahamas. Scotiabank Caribbean East Managing Director David Noel collected the Bracken Awards on behalf of the Bank.
According to a press release, The Banker selects winners based on their ability to gain strategic advantage and deliver shareholder returns. The magazine is the world’s longest running international banking magazine, recognized as a leading source of information on finance and investment around the globe.
The release said Scotiabank’s Caribbean operations have been recognized with numerous awards in 2015 for their strength and stability as well as products and services, including:
• Global Finance Magazine’s ‘Best Emerging Markets Bank’ in Barbados for 2015
• Best Digital Bank in 21 countries across the Caribbean including Barbados by Global Finance along with regional recognitions in North America, Latin America and the Caribbean;
• For the second year in a row, Scotiabank was also named one of the World’s Best Multinational Workplaces by the Great Place to Work® Institute.
Managing Director of Scotiabank BVI Sarah L. Hobbs told this news site, “This award means so much and is a real tribute to the hard work of our staff. I am fortunate to work with a dedicated team of talented individuals who have been committed to excellent service, looking for new ways to help our customers achieve their financial goals and still taking time to serve the community beyond the branch.”
She noted that Scotiabank has had a presence in the VI for 48 years and continues to work diligently to make banking easier and more convenient for clients while, at the same time, driving efficiency and enhancing their ‘in branch’ experience.
“I would like to thank all our valued customers who continue to choose Scotiabank and provide us the opportunity to serve them. They are our primary focus and we continue to keep the client experience at the forefront of all we do,” she said.

the manager wants to have proof of their income after being with the bank for 10 months - to make sure the
bank isn't involved with money laundering? why do those accurate comments keep disappearing? Its a good
bank, but some things need to be straightened out.
