SEA COWS BAY, Tortola, VI- Three schools in the Sea Cows Bay community have benefited from a collaboration between One Mart Superstore and local businessman Julian Willock, along with his Third District Committee.

Ms Kishma P. Forbes of Virgin Islands Schools and Office Supplies also played a vital role in this initiative, which took place on Monday, October 27, 2025.

One Mart Superstore donated a total of 15 cases of bottled water to Mr Willock and his committee. Three cases were given to needy families in the Sea Cows Bay area, while the remainder was distributed among three schools in District 3: Ebenezer Thomas Primary School (ETPS), the Seventh-day Adventist School, and St George’s Secondary School.

One Mart delighted to come on board

Speaking at the handover at the ETPS local businesswoman, educator and Chief Operations Officer of One Mart, Mrs Judith E. Vanterpool, who is also a Sea Cows Bay resident, noted that her father was an avid horse owner and trainer, as she admired the school's logo that includes a horse.

She noted that One Mart Superstore was “delighted to make a donation,” and she was happy to give back to her own community. She mentioned that she also taught at the ETPS for one year, many years ago, and continues to check on the academic performance of the school to ensure it remains at the top.

Principal of the Seventh-day Adventist School, Mr Wade W. Tobin, said he was grateful for the bottled water, adding, “they will be put to good use”. The same sentiments were reflected by St George’s Secondary School from both the students and teachers.

Mr Willock noted, "The smiles on the faces of the principals, students, teachers, parents, and community members were truly encouraging."

The former House of Assembly Speaker stated both his and the Committee’s gratitude to the One Mart team for their continued support in our community, as well as his committee members.

Done out of love for community

Over the past two years, Mr Willock and his Third District Committee, along with Ms Forbes, have donated countless items to the three schools, including books, backpacks, fans, filing cabinets, teaching materials, general student supplies, chairs, lunch benches, and now bottled water.

In a Facebook post today, Mr Willock stated, "We do this out of love for our community and the critical importance of education."

One Mart and their group of companies are known throughout the Territory for giving back and for their generosity to many communities.

My Granny used to say that little is much once God is in it. But all these photo ops, speeches, and ceremonial handovers for a donation this modest?

Politicians will do anything to capture and fool the feeble minded ones even if it requires giving out 2 bottles of water each all in the name of vote, Please collect the water from them and vote to your conscience.

Could we consider donating water coolers and reusable cups? Teaching our children to reduce single use plastics and about the environment/litter
