As a Taxi Driver, I have a concern. I think the collection of two way going and returning when you get on a taxi is a bad practice, it can be illegal and it is definitely wrong..How can they collect from a passenger for service not yet rendered, they promised , or hope to render, yet customer. That's not a good practice and its done by force, not even an option. Passenger going to the beach they have to pay for return even before they get to the Beach.. Is this a legal or regulated move.?

We pay for round trip tickets for flights or catching a ferry dont we? in some cases we dont have an option either. especially for those who came to visit.(This is International)
Payment made upfront basically for interest of time
A headcount must be made upon collection at the beach for reporting.

    oh boy.

Also I hate hearing this talk about cartels. The biggest ones are up in Europe under titles & afforded secrecy, when they are ready they fly out with planes to kill people like in Libya. Meanwhile we call for documentation on wealth of local people with one home.

This chaos that is going on in south America is fabricated. No drug war, no drug cartels. Its that simple. Anyone remember the rumors that the CIA introduced cocaine to inner city black American communities?

No drug addicts, no demand. They've enough informants doing dirt, satellites, NSA snooping with AI to shut down gangs. There's money, power, & control in it for governments to allow crimes to happen as they play the hero.

They were on a Cruise, in order to get on a Cruise you have to book 6 month to year in advance. This Drug thing happen last week.. To me these Taxi drivers driving Cruise passengers especially the small busses and vehicles need proper investigating find out who drive them. They are lots of criminals and real greedy taxi drivers..Also we have some that lie to passengers, co collect two way upon entry and never return to pick them up. This being happening very often. A good serious look need to take place the taxi drivers the whole system, structure as it relates to driving passenger or we will end up Like St. Croix. Who got a cruise ship ban for ten yrs, now just start get the cruise business back..

The majority of the taxi drivers and lawless, and believe they own the roads. I see taxi drivers with no seat belts driving raga raga’s which hardly make it up Joe’s hill.
Why do we not have public transport, because the taxi drivers are all local and have the monopoly. This needs to change.
I went to the taxi rank by village cay and waited while the men finished a loud argument before my driver was available.
We can do better, public transport has been needed for years and let’s look out for the people not line the locals drivers pockets cause they born here.

May I point out that Colombians do not need a visa to enter the British Virgin Islands. It was an expensive and round about way to enter the island. They could have just booked a flight and hotel package.
