It’s time people that get caught with marijuana be put to community service hours rather jail time. It’s a waste on their life as well as the taxpayers. It’s about time the laws of the BVI be reviewed when it comes to the “Drug Act”

Specially when it comes to our youths. All this young people had a amazing future, but just because of marijuana they future have been destroyed. BVI also need to understand, that our youth are accustomed of legal marijuana in other countries. I also believe that they should focus on catching the provider and not the consumers.

There needs to be a change in narrative when it comes Cannabis and the law. There is so much unsolved crimes that needs police attention yet people are still getting hold up for “bush tea/medicine”...imagine that. I guess the CoP and the rest of them needs some sort of satisfaction after wasting Tax payers money and peoples time

Exactly why young people don’t crave the police presence or feel they are for their safety when they get locked up for a victimless crime & a plant at that when the police come around.

This is incredibly out of place that our representatives felt the need to take a stand ALL of them voted in favor and the law is not approved for no good reason.

They also voted to remove past records. We wait.

Meanwhile the community gets no economic benefit and the young people continue to get criminal records for a plant that’s been known for therapeutic & spiritual use for thousands of years, less harmful physically and socially than the alcohol the force is allowed to partake off duty.

Freedom of religion but they don’t care what genesis has to say nor that the Rasta consider it a religious sacrament. no wonder they call it Babylon these laws were founded on lies to perpetuate racial inequality.

Plain out you were lied to and divided by the misinformation. Community service as if give that to the thieves the real criminals.

Finally in legalizing within the US the talks are of giving the Black and Hispanic communities a head start in the new industry after being willfully & disproportionately affected.

Now a days all races have members that use cannabis it’s time for a change.

ENOUGH ALREADY!!! People not from here committing crimes should be INSTANTLY DEPORTED and not taking up space in our jails!!! No feeding them 3 meals a day and medical care. Allow them to go home and allow their country deal with them. People from here committing crimes need jail time and fined for their crimes. ENOUGH ALREADY! Stop cuddling all of them. This place is too small to have people running amok just doing what they want to. Get a backbone and clean our home up! Sick of this mess!

    • Send them all back when you commit a crime (25/03/2021, 23:50) Like (1) Dislike (0) Reply
We ain/t got no problem with that. When you commit a crime, send individuals back to their home country. No matter where you from. If you from the BVI and you commit a crime overseas, send your tail back and likewise if you not from here and commit a crime, do the same. People overall need to learn how to behave when they travel to another man's country.

Imagine trying to criminalize these young people without having the full back story. That young lady is innocent and was not even involved and name should not have been posted. They do everything in their power to ruin reputations and boost their own incompetent self esteems. Post the full story pigs!
