ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI– “Experience BVI, Right Here, Right Now!” That is the theme for this year’s BVI Staycation experience curated for residents of the Virgin Islands (VI). BVI Staycation is an annual promotion by the British Virgin Islands Tourist Board & Film Commission (BVITBFC), which invites VI residents to experience the destination as tourists and emerge as ambassadors.

From July 8, 2025, through October 31, 2025, twenty-three businesses across the tourism sector, ranging from accommodation providers, excursion experiences and health and spa centres, are offering special deals or added value under this promotion.

According to BVITBFC, in a press release on July 8, 2025, several of the partners are also extending their offers to the residents of the neighbouring United States Virgin Islands, St Maarten/St Martin and Puerto Rico.

'Take a break, reconnect & rediscover'

According to Regional Marketing Manager RaeNisia L. Scatliffe, who is spearheading the promotion, “The BVI Staycation programme is all about encouraging our residents to explore and enjoy the beauty of the place we call home. Whether it’s a peaceful night at a  local villa, a spa day, a weekend adventure, or simply dining somewhere new, there are countless ways to experience the magic of the British Virgin Islands.”

Scatliffe also said, “This programme uplifts our tourism sector while reminding us all to take a break, reconnect, and rediscover the treasures in our own backyard. In  the  process, residents  become ambassadors, able to speak proudly and intelligently about the BVI tourism product.”
