The 14th annual event, hosted by CIBC Caribbean in collaboration with the BVI Cancer Society and supported by business-community sponsors, will begin at 5:30 AM at the bank’s Road Town branch.

Walk Route

Participants will walk from the bank’s car park along the waterfront to Ebenezer Thomas Primary School in Sea Cows Bay before returning to the starting point. Registration forms are available at the CIBC Caribbean Road Town branch and the BVI Cancer Society. 

Last year’s campaign raised $75,000 through the generosity of sponsors, supporters and participants. The funds help the BVI Cancer Society provide critical assistance to patients and their families, including access to treatment and medication, travel assistance, counselling, education and awareness programmes. The campaign also supports ongoing efforts to establish a national cancer registry for the Virgin Islands.

Rotary Club of Tortola joins

The Rotary Club of Tortola will participate in this year’s event by providing information and screenings for breast, prostate, colon and cervical cancers the most prevalent types of cancer in the territory.

Organisers are encouraging residents to register, participate and support the campaign’s efforts to strengthen cancer awareness and services in the Virgin Islands.

“Every step counts. Together, we can make a difference,” organisers said.
