2024 National League champs Wolues to compete in CFU Club Shield in T&T

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- 2023-2024 BVI Football Association (BVIFA) National League Champions Wolues FC will be travelling to Trinidad and Tobago on July 23, 2025, to participate in the Caribbean Football Union’s 2025 Club Shield tournament, which runs from July 26 to August 3, 2025.

It is the first time in history that a team from the Virgin Islands will be taking part in the regional club tournament.

24 teams will be participating in the Club Shield and have been placed in 4 groups.

Wolues in Group C

Wolues FC is drawn into Group C, along with Trinidad’s Police Football Club, Suriname’s SV Transvaal, Antigua and Barbuda’s All Saints United Soccer Club, Barbados’ Weymouth Wales Football Club, and Sint Maarten’s SCSA Eagles.

The teams in each group will play five matches, with the four group winners advancing to the knockout semifinal matches on August 1, 2025.

The championship and third-place matches are set for August 3, 2025.

Wolues, who have been sponsored by Capriccio de Mare, play their first game on July 27, 2025, against SV Transvaal at Larry Gomes Stadium.

The Club Shield champion and runner-up both qualify for the 2025 CONCACAF Caribbean Cup tournament, which holds its group matches in August and September, the semifinals in late October and the finals and third-place matches in late November and early December.

    This is NOT a National BVI team, it's a league team. Look at any league team around the world, example the Premier League in the UK, very few English LOCALS in it. Stop being a bigot.
