ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- In a last minute move that shocked some in the political class, the National Democratic Party (NDP) Government announced late last night that the 2018 Budget Speech that was scheduled to be delivered today Thursday March 15, 2018 by the Minister of Finance Dr The Honourable D. Orlando Smith (AL) has been scrapped.

According to House of Assembly (HoA) Spokesman Linton V. Leonard, in a late night message circulated mostly on social media, he blamed the sudden reschedule of the address on “the Territory’s participation in the annual Earthquake and Tsunami 'Caribewave' 18 Exercise.”

It is unclear what time that exercise will take place, but in another move that created more confusion surrounding the Government’s postponement of the 2018 Budget Address, Mr Leonard said, “However, the Second Sitting of the Third Session of the Third House of Assembly will convene on Thursday March 15, 2018 at 10:00 AM.”

Many questioned if the same HoA will continue why was there the need for the Budget Address to be rescheduled for Monday March 19, 2018.

When is the vote?

A new Order Paper has not been made public as many are awaiting to see when the controversial framework for the United Kingdom loan guarantees will come up for a vote, including a Bill to create a Recovery and Development Agency, with the power to manage all recovery funds, in effect sidelining the Minister of Finance.

Information reaching our newsroom is that the draft hurricanes recovery plan has already been sent to the UK from November of 2017 and the public consultation was just a sham, as it was a requirement by the British Government.

There remains deep division in the Dr Smith Administration over the terms of the loan guarantees and the functions of the Recovery and Development Agency.

    We all knew that when they came up with this recovery and developement plan. They asking the public for their consultations was just rubbing s#!t in their when they know they had already sent the plans to the UK which was vague and lacked a real plan. I hope it back fires on them and the UK scraps their plan and design their own which will benefit the entire BVI and not just a few. UK take the wheel please we are begging of you

      You do not have a clue what you are asking for. There is a take over going on for other reasons than promoting transparency and accountability. This territory and the other OTs are going to be the next Bermudas. How is that for food for thought. It is possible. You need to read PAWNS IN THE GAME. The take-over has begun and was prepped by the deliberate release of the Panama Papers, the Paradise Papers, threating us with the Black and Grey Lists, getting rid of Civil Aviation departments and replacing them with ASSI, and now Brexit, renewed Airport Expansion project gone up an extra $93Million, 300 homes being built in VG within gated communities, increasing organized birthings in BVI medical facilities that will change the demography of voters and workers in government by 2030 (check the birth rate stats), sponsorship of existing NPOs or creation of new ones by wealthy pockets targeting the youths who will become the loyal voters when they become 18 in a few years, 3 unusual weather systems in a short space of time, daily spraying of these islands by non-passenger planes with chem-trails that DO NOT DISAPPEAR...START LOOKING AT THE SKIES...PEOPLE ! ! ! Observe the record number of people in the BVI getting alzeheimers before 70 years old. THAT IS NOT NORMAL. How were we contaminated?? Is it in the water, food, the fish, hepatitis B vaccinations given in late 1990s???? Please this is not about race. The take-over could careless about race, even though it may seem is obvious. The new weapons of choice to take over a country are ...READY FOR THIS...the Weather and Disasters using HAARP and Directed Energy Weapons, followed by Creative Economics and Loans from IMF/World Bank, Resulting in cancelled loans but takeover of physical natural resources. Our current officials may not have managed their portfolios properly, but the fox has come to mind the chicken coop, the cat to mind the cheese. A once wise local politician once said be careful of when we go to the - - - to have tea and what we say there. He, RTO, is still alive today. Another wise politician whose accomplishments we just recognized on March 6 at a wreath laying ceremony only received his OBE in death because he was brave enough to challenge the empire. This take-over is part of a bigger experiment because we have too much praying people in this territory and TPTB that are behind the takeover are deeply involved in the occultic world. Do not be disrespectful towards the people we come in contact with as they are only the foot soldiers of the take-over and they themselves do not know the sinister agenda behind the take-over. How can a Gov’t gave away $7+M of hard earned taxpayers dollars and not even a rubber tire from the NeverAir AirBVI airline. No explanation and not one person is held accountable.     Everyone will jump high and low about NDP and UK loans but as soon as those monies flood the streets everyone will be good again. Who remember when Fraser went to CDB for the $15 mil and when Mark went to SSB for the $16 mil? We had the same chatter but what happened in the end? No principle, no love for country.     Something rotten in the state of Denmark says a scene from Macbeth. Something dysfunctional is occurring in the NDP. The prople’s interest is being ill-served. Perhaps, it is time for another snap election. But is the Opposition ready? Sadly, they appear as dysfunctional as the government. It seems like the Opposition does not miss an Opportunity to miss an opportunity. The Opposition is looking a gift horse in the mouth. What a waste. Dem ting less sah.

    Seriously, how difficult could it be to schedule an HOA meeting and a Tsunami exercise so that they do not conflict. As said in the opening, something is rotten in the state of Denmark. Was the Tsunami exercise just a red herring?
