ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The 3-hour curfew in the Virgin Islands has been lifted for non-marine operations.

This was announced by Premier and Minister of Finance Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1) in a COVID-19 update this afternoon, April 8, 2021.

“We have lifted the curfew on the land side. As of now the 2:00 am to 5:00 am curfew is no more,” Premier Fahie stated.

He said; however, the health and safety protocols such as wearing of masks and sanitising of hands remain in place.

Curfew for marine operations adjusted

According to the previous Curfew Order that expired today, persons who operate vessels were permitted to operate within territorial waters between the hours of 5:01 am to 10:00 pm daily, and within navigational limits to define the northern and southern boundaries of the VI's Exclusive Zone.

This has not been adjusted to 5:01 am to 12:30 am.

“Regarding the sea, the curfew started at 10:00 pm; however, Cabinet has now decided to push back the curfew on the sea from 10:00 pm to 12:30 am.

“This will further stimulate more economic activity on the sister islands,” Premier Fahie said.

Thank you Hon. Fahie for trying your best. It’s easy to point fingers and cast blame vs being thankful for being a live to complain. Life is short and over a year later I’m alive and well due to the good God and the efforts of the Government doing. To God we give thanks.

Hon Fahie you did a wonderful job in keeping the country safe from COVID-19. If we really check statistics over the world here rank number 1 in low cases countries . You could only do so much. Give them what they want, so when the table turns no finger can point at you.

This too much to read so go to the link at the end published today on the Investigation being done on the vaccine that has more question than answers

    TESTING ON HUMANS

In the UK, there were reports of 79 serious blood clots alongside low blood platelet counts. Nineteen of those people died as of March 31, the country's Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) said. Some of these deaths may have already have been calculated in the earlier EMA analysis.

    CONTINUED BLOOD CLOTS

EMA concluded on Wednesday that the vaccine had caused an unusual combination of blood clots with low counts of blood platelets in dozens of people. It had analyzed 62 cases of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST), which is clotting in the sinuses that drain blood from the brain, and 24 cases of splanchnic vein thrombosis, or clotting in the abdomen, in people who had received the shot as of March 22. Of those cases -- reported from an area where around 25 million people total had received the AstraZeneca vaccine at that point -- 18 were fatal.

STILL UNSURE SINCE STILL TESTING ON HUMANS WHO IT MOSTLY HARMS

Without age and sex data, it's not known if the risk is higher or lower for particular groups, it said. The overall rate could also change upwards or downwards, as more people are vaccinated and a clearer picture emerges.

UK health authorities had clearer data on age than sex, saying Wednesday that there was a slightly higher incidence of these blood clotting events in younger adults compared to older ones.

BRITAIN UNSURE OF IT SO GIVING ALTERNATIVES

That's why Britain took the decision to give people under age 30 alternatives to the AstraZeneca vaccine.

FAMILY PATTERN OF BLOOD CLOTS / LIFESTYLE / MEDICATION

Blood clots are common, and a significant portion of the population is already more predisposed to develop them as a result of underlying conditions, genetics, lifestyle or other medication they're taking.

But the blood clots that authorities are seeing as unusual are specific severe clotting around the brain and abdomen, and are accompanied by low counts of blood platelets. This is an unusual combination because platelets typically help the body's blood clot in a good way, to stop bleeding, for example. Usually high platelet counts and severe clotting go together.

Anyway, the name of the one who infected the death at the funeral was never known, but if he were an immigrant, they are still nagging

Lift them completely guys. It’s all good. Great job Minister and Leadership Team. I’m ready to come back but even that quarantine needs to go when the majority is vaccinated and herd immunity will soon follow. It’s time to carry on.
