HUNTUMS GHUT, Tortola, VI - In a bombshell and courageous move, United States Virgin Islands (USVI) two-term current Governor, Mr Albert A. Bryan Jr., will this evening Saturday, March 18, 2023, endorse both Hon Kye M. Rymer (R5) and the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) for re-election under Premier, Dr the Hon Natalio D. Wheatley.

Sources in the USVI close to the popular Governor have told our news centre on condition of anonymity, that Governor Bryan is expected to be on Tortola, in the Virgin Islands (VI), today and will make the endorsement at the launching of the VIP Fifth District Candidate Hon Kye M. Rymer.

The USVI Governor has roots in Tortola including family in Carrot Bay on the western end of Tortola. Many historians have said under VIP Governments, the relationship between the VI  and the USVI has strengthened.

Premier and Minister of Finance Dr the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley (R7), along with the former Premier Andrew A. Fahie, has fostered closer ties with the USVI and revived the VI/USVI Friendship Day after it was suspended by the National Democratic Party (NDP) following the Hurricanes of 2017.

Both countries have also worked out water rights and boating agreements.

Divisive politics from NDP

In 2019, then leader of the NDP, Myron V. Wawyn ran a divisive campaign against our closest neighbours, the USVI, trying to pit VIslanders against US VIslanders by claiming they were “eating our lunch”.

Recent tourism statistics show that he was wrong, especially in the marine sector. It is believed that not only the USVI enjoys when VIP-led Governments are in power, but the same is true for Governments of the OECS and the Caribbean Community.

Hon Rymer's 2023 campaign will be launched this evening at 7:00 PM at the Boys Service Station Parking Lot in Huntums Ghut, Tortola.

Don't matter who endorse who. Ain't no way in hell VIP can win 7 seats. This will be historical. The first time one party has the most seats of all parties and end up as the opposition..

if they can't work together now, how will they be a functional government? Or even form one?

"Who feels it knows it." Hold you branch Governor Albert Brian in the USVI. We here in the BVI will decide our own political fate in a few short weeks, regardless of who you have endorsed.
We, the majority, are not subject to your political opinion, only our own, God being our guide, and wisdom. Ok neighbors?

Why the hell he don't stay out of our politics? We don't get involved in his. And what if the other side wins. A terrible precedent to set.

Wasn't a USVI official in hot water sometime back for bringing someone from another Caribbean island to try to sway the electorate in their bid for election in St. Thomas?

So why are we allowing this wrongdoing here if it is not tolerated in the USVI? Check back the records and you will find where Ms. Fawk*s fined someone down there for this same type of nonsense.

Who in de kitchen (as we are) feel the heat.
