2 seriously injured in accident involving motor scooter

FORT RECOVERY, Tortola, VI- Two persons, a male and a female, have been seriously injured in an accident involving a motor scooter in the Fort Recovery area of Tortola.
The accident occurred moments ago, October 20, 2025.
The injured persons are still on the roadway and an ambulance is yet to arrive.
It is yet unclear if there was a collision with another vehicle.
Police are not yet on the scene.
Person were seen weeping on seeing the condition of the two persons injured.

Accidents can happen and you’re more prone to severe injuries with scooter accidents.
See this as a lesson for all those who drive and are passengers on scooters.

But on real note no daughter or son of mines will be on any scooter. Them thing is death trap either by the driver or other reckless cars on the roads. You get bumped and yah gone flying
And most don't even wear helmet and the moo moo females going be behind them with no helmet too cuz to hell with police and to hell with the laws . Well hope you girls love road rash, scars and bust heads smh
Red flags are scooters , dodge. , Mustang, Kia souls . Most time tjem operators are drug man , Street man , law breakers, reckless drivers , weed smokers, part life people, and might life people

What are the Parents doing to help correct this situation or are we waiting to our children gets seriously injured(some of those guys riding like crazy when night comes goes Home to an Adult)
How are we as a society; going to grow and improve , when simple systematic situations have not been assessed. this says allot about our capacity to deal with problems and improvement.
Did you see the video of the lady describing the accident where she said she saw them scooters driving fast into a turn...... that don't sound reckless? Until we see video of witnesses or police statement on details of the incident then I will go by what we've been seeing on a regular most riders driving reckless and fast with no helmets. Chk them videos not on helmet in sight. But any way good luck to them

Anyone wanna bet if the bikes were licensed and insured? Does the young driver have a licence for it?
If no then I doubt them were driving responsibly if they were willing to skip all those steps smh

Not having helmets on is driving recklessly.
Same with a vehicle…not wearing a seatbelt is driving recklessly.
You’re putting your life in danger.
Our NHI deductions will cover their cost even if they were contributing. Even if they are unlicensed or uninsured.
They will back on the scooters again in no time

And id NHI fails we shall come together to fund there bad decisions and get them back to good health to back on the roads again
