2 Greenland residents charged after infant died while in their care

GREENLAND, Tortola, VI- Two persons, a male and female, were charged yesterday, April 25, 2023, in connection with the death of nine-month-old Zamir Romney which took place earlier this month.

Monica King, 35, and Juwan Richardson, 25, both of Greenland, received the charge of manslaughter.

According to the Royal Virgin Islands (RVIPF) in a press release today, April 26, 2023, the male infant was in the care of the two accused on April 7 when the death occurred.

Both King and Richardson are to appear in Magistrate’s Court at the next available sitting.

      Early this month according to the article so plenty time fir autopsy to have been completed. Hence findings made and decision to charge them with manslaughter

    Very interesting comment. I have no knowledge of the facts of the case, but it would be very surprising if they were charged with manslaughter for an unfortunate accident that could happen to anyone.....
