LONDON, UK- A seven-year-old girl has suffered life-threatening injuries in a suspected drive-by shooting outside a central London church.

According to the BBC, a funeral service was being held at St Aloysius Church in Euston when shots were reportedly fired from a moving vehicle on Saturday afternoon, January 14, 2023.

The Met Police said a 12-year-old girl and four women - aged 21, 41, 48 and 54 - were also injured.

The 48-year-old may have life-changing injuries, police said.

The three other women's injuries are not life-threatening and the 12-year-old girl has been treated for a minor leg injury, said the force.

In a statement, the Met said an urgent investigation was under way and details of the incident were still emerging.

"At this early stage, there have been no arrests," it said.

Superintendent Ed Wells said any shooting incident was "unacceptable, but for multiple people, including two children, to be injured in a shooting in the middle of a Saturday afternoon is shocking".

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan described the shooting as "deeply distressing" and said he was in close contact with the Met Police.

Not good news but from how some of these people speak of the UK it never occurred to us that there is crime of this nature there.

Agreed. The current Commissioner of Police always speak as if crime of this nature and others only happen in the BVI. Let us see if he makes a video of this. Any way my prayers go out to the family.

It’s because it’s so rare in Britain that it makes news.

Rare in a population of 60m and the suspected gunman has already been arrested, within 48 hours of the attack.

To all of you who have the UK as saviors know that crime is so bad in the UK that in certain areas when crime is committed they do not bother to report it as the police does not have the resources to deal with it. Do you know that many chief of police in the UK are crying out to these same UK officials for money and resources as their budgets are being cut and crime is rising out of control. Why do you all think they have our best interest at heart.

And what is the demographic / cultural profile of those who commit most of the crimes?
      Wanna guess?

true and its all Jamdoiwns and SVG drug dealers causing havoc, but hey lets not blame them just balme the country which they are in, just like the BVI most violent crimes come from outsiders

You forgot broken news , blame boris now , we are more interested in whats going on in our own backyard ( Scotland yard will deal with their own criminals , perhaps you pathner csc the pastor , turned politician and now turned psychic would be kind enough to tell the police who our criminals are so we can restore our dignity as a peaceful and warm and friendly people living in the natural beauty of mother's nature in peace and love and harmony with all human beings that live here .

We are still a peaceful, warm and friendly people living in this naturally beautiful country and willing to live in peace and love with everyone who come to live among us but there are those who cannot stand to see us happy and think that because we are peaceful and warm we donot deserve to survive in our country. We have come to realize that when you welcome others in your house they eventually want to through you out of your house.

While my heart goes out to those negatively affected and I do not condone the crimes, I also ask VINO to keep doing news releases of what is happening in the UK so our people can see the hypocrisy in their officials' criticism of the people of the BVI.

SO we decided to plead for COI and it fly back in our face.
Everyday crime in the UK published in our local papers won't shed negative light on the UK... it will shed light on the behaviour of the Caribbean and African immigrants and their sons and daughters., in the UK like everywhere else to which they migrate ..BVI, USVI USA etc.

The culprits for the most part,do not look like their Kings or their Queens or our Governors past nor present. Keep that in mind.

The UK has never claimed that crimes are not committed on their soil. The difference is these crimes are solved in no short time. It seems here in the BVI that the Police are the enemy while we idolize, defend and protect criminals. Sometimes I wonder....

If you want to defend the UK to a fault, then say so but stop posting things that are not factual. If you check the number of unsolved crimes in the UK then you would realize that you are speaking nonsense. It is not the people of the UK we refer to but rather the few high ranking UK Officials in the BVI and over the BVI who speak as if only the BVI has plenty crime, and the UK has a low crime rate when in fact those same people cannot get the crime in the UK handled. Do proper research you BVI hater.

I am from the BVI. I am talking about "per capita". Check the population of the BVI and that of the UK. Thanks for letting me know that you are only speaking only about "the few high-ranking UK Officials in the BVI and over the BVI" Your comment is based purely for political mileage.

Aren 't your kindred folks harboring the UK
They take their behaviour with them everywhere they washup.
Nowhere for them is sacred or off limits. They are who they are.

where most of them comes from have far more crimes. there are a set of UK personal up in here and all now no updates on the multiple unsolved murders

In 2022 the murder rate (per 100,000 population) in the BVI was 23.33 (7x100000/31,122) compared to the UK murder rate for the same period of 1.05 (710x100000/67330000); in other words the BVI murder rate was more than 20 times higher. The other fact of note is that the shooting subject of this article involved a shotgun, compared to the automatic weapons being fired regularly in the BVI

Just recently there was a double murder in Acompong Town a maroon village in Jamaica. It was said to have been committed by an off duty police officer who went into the village with his service revolver. The amazing thing is that this was the first murder among the maroons in 280 years. What does that tell us. The Babylon System is the Vampire.

Well it seems like the rest of the world don't have crime only the VI. The VI seems to be the spot light for criminal activity. Sad
