EAST END/LONG LOOK, Tortola, VI- The Willard Wheatley Primary School (WWPS) has been awarded the winner of the Virgin Islands Anti-Crime Summit 2025 Video Competition and received a $1000 prize.

The cash prize was delivered to the school on June 24, 2026, by members of the National Security Council (NSC), Governor Daniel Pruce, Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr the Hon Natalio D. Wheatley (R7), and Attorney General Dawn Smith. 

The Virgin Islands Anti-Crime Summit was held from September 24 to 26, 2025, under the theme ‘Our Virgin Islands: Safe Communities, Prosperous Territory’. 

Proudly produced by graduating class

The school’s graduating class proudly produced the winning video with the guidance and support of their teachers. 

It showcased the students’ talent, teamwork, and commitment to promoting positive community values.

According to a press release, students proudly rendered the National Anthem, Territorial Song, and Pledge. 

Governor Pruce and Premier Wheatley commended the students for their outstanding creativity and encouraged them to continue making positive choices. 

They also emphasised the importance of saying no to crime, listening to and respecting their parents and teachers, and striving to become responsible and productive citizens.
