16th Summer Sizzle BVI another success
Held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex in Road Town, the Global Glamour Runway Show was one to experience ‘Where Fashion Meets Fantasy’.
The Kids Runway Show was held just before the main runway event.
Featured designers
The Global Glamour Runway Show featured Puerto Rican designers David Antonio and Jaer Cabán, Paulette Cleghorn, Guyana-born designer Roger Gary, the Virgin Islands’ Andrea Wilson, Cesar Galindo, Nigerian-British multidisciplinary artist and fashion designer Chuks Collins, and Beverly Hills–based couturier Oliver Tolentino.
Also featured during the runway show were the globally recognised menswear brand founded by Daniel Mofor, Don Morphy, and Gyv Me Body by Nyki Allen.
New York City Runway Model and Runway Coach Jessica Millin of Project Runway fame was the special guest model.
Confidence & Courage Symposium
Summer Sizzle BVI held the Confidence and Courage Symposium on Friday, July 17, 2026, in partnership with the BVI Film Commission and H. Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC).
It was hosted by Crystle Stewart, star of Tyler Perry’s hit Netflix series Beauty in Black. During the symposium, she shared her journey and insights, leading an empowering conversation on resilience, confidence, and the pursuit of dreams.
In an interview with JTV Channel 55’s Cathy O. Richards and Dean Greenaway, aka ‘The Sportsman’, Summer Sizzle BVI founder & Executive Director Terry T. Donovan described the symposium as uplifting.
“It was truly amazing to hear that our young women here were so open to having conversations and being vulnerable.” He explained that those present spoke about things that they may have kept inside for so long.
“The topics and questions and the little test and assignments that Cyrstle gave them, it brought out a lot of emotions, and I have to say even I was teary, so it was beautiful.”
