143 active COVID-19 cases currently in VI – Dr Georges
“As of today, 24th December 2021 (Christmas Eve) there are 143 active cases with the majority of these 133 residing on Tortola and the balance residing on Virgin Gorda,” he said in a statement.
Dr Georges added that residents would have noticed a gradual increase in active cases over the last two months and that over the last two weeks, cases have risen from an average of around 40, closer to 100 active cases.
Samples being tested
“Samples from sick persons positive for COVID-19 and who meet eligibility criteria for testing are sent for genetic typing from both the Dr. D Orlando Smith Hospital Laboratory and the Medicure Laboratory.”
Dr Georges noted that the local laboratory at the Dr. D Orlando Smith Hospital has also been using special test kits designed to identify the Delta variant and is conducting evaluations of the kit's efficacy, based on the results from CARPHA.
“Over the last three weeks, 24 samples sent to CARPHA for genetic typing have returned the Delta variant with one case being identified as Delta plus. The current spike in cases is therefore due to the Delta variant,” he said.
The acting Chief Medical Officer reminded residents that as they prepare to engage in the many family and social gatherings and enjoy the festivities with friends, families, and connections, “let us continue to be mindful of COVID.”

coughing, slight fever, sniffles flu-like symptoms
COVID-19 VACCINE symptoms/ailments:
stroke, brain aneurysm, blood clots, heart attacks, paralysis, blindness, mass skin rashes, anaphylaxis, coma, death
They will pay out if you die from covid though!...
Make the sacrifice...unvaccinated 2022 and beyond.
Sars Covid 2 adverse effects: coughing, slight fever, sniffles, flu like symptoms, difficult breathing and death (so far 5.5 million world wide, out of 280 million cases, so about 1.9% mortality rate (ie. around 1 in 50). On that basis, expected additional Covid deaths in the BVI population (assume 25,000) would be about 500 if no one was vaccinated and everybody got infected and could not be treated. Actual death counts could probably be higher given that co-morbidities (age, obesity) are prevalent in the Territory. For reference, BVI pre covid death rates are about 160 per year.
Covid-19 vaccine potential (because the vast majority of people do not experience these) adverse effects statistics
thrombosis (3 cases out of 458 million doses of Moderna), anaphylaxis (5 cases reported in US), thrombosis (57 in 16.9 million J&J vaccines), deaths (9 out of 16.9 million J&J vaccines), Guillaume Barré syndrome: 278 cases in 16.9 million, no increased risk after Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccine, myocarditis (1,049 reported cases out of 200 million vaccinated), deaths (10,483 reported among 485 million doses-works out to around 0.0022%-not clear that all arose directly from vaccines, so still being studied). Data from CDC web site you’re interested.
So, using death rates alone: Covid 1.9% chance of dying, vaccine 0.0022%, making the vaccine about 8,000 times safer. Choose wisely.
Ask it when it gets here, cause you can bet it’s gonna get here and when it does - everybody’s gonna know it. Vaccination will help. Boosters will help more
Some people won’t have any symptoms. Won’t even know they have it. Some people will have mild (cold-like) symptoms, some people will feel pretty sick (bad flu-like symptoms) and some people will be hospitalized and die.
All people will be able to spread it, no matter if you’re vaccinated or unvaccinated. It will be necessary to wear GOOD MASKS. N95 masks. And well fiitted, well sealed masks. Noses hanging out won’t cut it. Cotton masks won’t cut it. Especially if you are unwilling or unable to get vaccinated, make sure you and your family and friends get and wear N95 masks for your, and all our protection.
Take care!
It is, quite simply, common sense to wear good well fitted masks.
It is senselessly risky not to wear them.
This is what some of us is hearing, double tongue talking.
It is time for serious, genuine prayers, and true exercise of genuine faith.
However, I hope that wisdom will prevail over ignorance among us. Keep hope alive, but know this that hope without right actions is negative hope.
BVI We Awake!!!
