14-year-old charged with 2025 murder of Eric A. Albert

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has charged a 14-year-old male with the murder of airport fire officer Eric Alexis Albert, who was fatally shot in the Greenland area on June 20, 2025.

In a press release today, September 9, 2026, the RVIPF said that as part of the investigation, officers conducted a search operation at a residence in the Greenland area on June 27, 2025.

During the operation, an AR-15 assault rifle and a quantity of 5.56 calibre ammunition were recovered. Three individuals were arrested in connection with the firearm recovery.

The 14-year-old was subsequently charged on June 28, 2025, with firearm-related offences in connection with the recovery and was remanded to His Majesty’s Prison.

Murder charge

Following continued investigations into Albert’s murder, the teenager has now been charged with Murder, the RVIPF stated.

It added that the teenager was taken back to His Majesty’s Prison, where he will remain pending his return to the Magistrate’s Court. A date for his return will be scheduled.

The RVIPF has continued to encourage anyone with information that may assist with this or any investigation to contact the Intelligence Unit at 368-9512 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 8008477 (TIPS). All information provided will be treated with the strictest confidence, the RVIPF stated.

    Is it one ah dem island people again ? If so please tell us the country the fella ftom , so we call holler out and blame the whole country and throw some dirt on the country . They come here and spoiling our peaceful territory with their criminal and dirty culture .
