The RVIPF said an additional eight officers were promoted to the rank of sergeant – Darren Malone, Kennedy Emmanuel, Andy Lawrence, Jerome Padmore, Carlton Saunders, Kishon Leslie, Terry Humphrey and Joevenne Webbe.  Sylise Vanterpool was reinstated to the rank of sergeant.

Other officers invited to sharpen skills for advancement

Commissioner of Police Mark Collins, while congratulating the officers for passing all the stages of the promotional exercise, invited others to hone their skills and move into position for advancement.

“The organisation continues to strengthen its human resources through training and fill vacancies internally with those who qualify and meet the challenge. This exercise makes way for other officers to move up the rank,” Commissioner Collins noted.

Great Job and the killing of persons high day and early night is becoming the norm. When Mathews started out everybody was saying he was the best and by the end of his tenure the country was brought to a place crime murder-wise where it wasn't before.

The way how he does his job arguing with superiors because he could have run to Mathews and treating citizens in a hog fashion on call for and his bias with dealing with accidents is not policing.

I hope this group of Officers does the right thing and don't be afraid to sift out the rats on the police force. We need to bring back trust in the department.

The British Virgin islands has more churches than any other island base on population. But i have never met a people more Racist, lawless, ungreatful and selfish. Is this consciously or unconsciously done.
I ask that question because BVislanders travels to the United States Virgin islands and the U.S Main Land make their children reside, buy houses, work and become citizens but they do not want anyone come to the BVIs and do the same thing.
People how much longer do you all intend to continue like that?

One thing I know as a Christian is that the God I know and believe in will not ask where are you from. If after Hurricane Irma and Maria plus this Pandemic BVislanders do not change, they will never change again. Nope.

Can't you all read? There are two BVislanders there in the photo. By the way the BVislanders must join in the first place and second they must learn to do their work and at least pass an exam which most of them can not do.

Any way the little I know by having to deal with some of the officers I see there, the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force, is in for some trouble because some of them don't understand Policing yet so how are they going to teach their juniors or subordinates.
Just a question. Remember passing an exam is definitely not all.

Really what about Jamaicans. Its a fact every man that goes there to live with a Jamaican woman is either robbed or beaten up no matter what other country he came from and the racism of Americans and Europeans against blacks. Right now in Ukraine the blacks there are been treated like dirt not to mention it's not coming over on the press.

As a Christian you are still judging. Try being a disciple instead.

like at the size of BVI most folks come here just for money and it has become more difficult to run from bvi to the US as it was before 911….

Dear lol, you are talking about yourself, my question to you is, why everytime you outsiders are a certain way, you have to play the reverse game? As a Cristian you should be less judgemental, and mind your own business, I'm sure wherever you came from , is more populated with more churches than the BVI, why did you even have to come to the islands?

I understand process and respect it. However, sometimes the best employees are not necessarily the ones who can pass a "process". Many who fails a "process" are the most hardworking, dedicated, productive, discipline and reliable people you would ever meet. While I applaud these Officers I must confess that most are there because they are "intelligent". They are self serving and don't care whether or not this country goes to hell in a basket..This bring me to my point. The RVIPF have lost some of it's best Officers over the years because they were unable to pass a "process" and the ones who does just fade away. With all the hard work that Officer Callllwood have done compare to Officers who have never prepared a case file, issued a ticket, are always sick do not even want to walk a few feet in Town. What is there for him ?
