Repairs follow recent launch of new police boat

The repairs to the Police Marine Base comes on the heels of the launch of a new police boat on December 2, 2020.

The boat, named 'Midnight Justice' and powered by three (3) 400 horsepower outboard engines, was funded by the Government of the Virgin Islands Party.

Premier and Minister of Finance, Honourable Andrew A. Fahie (R1) had said his government was "very serious" about law enforcement and that it continues to show that with  investments in law enforcement "whether it be into the police, whether it be into customs, whether it be into immigration, because we know that security is very important.”

I agree. I was shocked to hear there was a contract for the fencing and all that I saw was the need for the removal of derelict boats, vehicles and other equipment and landscaping.
