A lil rain fall in there like a swamp so hopefully that’s in the design to remedy.

How will the vendors be sheltered from the rain?

Nothing was wrong with the market as it was. The iron works (rails) were good and the structure was good, it just needed to be refurbished and maintained. No where in the world is a market place set out to be individual rentals. A vendor shows up to the market with fish, produce and hand-made items etc, pick a spot and start to sell, then leave at the end of the day. Return the next day and do it all over again. BVI mentality is like none other

30 festival booths take approx 1 week to build and 16 kiosks taking 2 years to build

That's a great comparison to make. Those booths also get supplied with electricity, gas, etc., within that two-week time frame of booth construction. So why is the Market Project dragging when it requires much less than those booths?

It’s the booth owners money that build their own booths and they have a deadline. The village is for a set time.
It’s Gov’t money that building these here at the market square. I’m sure you catch my drift by now!!

If it was for them and their family they would be big bit because it's for the tax payers it's small. Total mockery when are you all going to wake up. It's a script he's reading and why do they always needs a paper to read off of. They can't remember what they want to say that comes from the heart WOW people wake up. I just can't understand you sheeps they don't run here and they never did. If they did their kids wouldn't have to go someplace else for more money. Brainless people would come on here to comment the same comments for years and still stay sleep. This script doesn't change all parties do the same thing.NOTHING.

A marketplace anywhere else in the world has permanent concrete structures that allows vendors to prep food if necessary, store overnight items, wifi, electrical outlets, and shade with benches for patrons to purchase items. A MarketPlace is just that Marketplace where persons can go, sample items, purchase goods etc. these kiosks are far too small and appears to not be strategically placed to allow drive thrus and accessibility near the main road. Why do we keep performing backwards in this place? how much do these huts cost from my hard earned tax dollars? when will we learn? Fix the dam roads and lights and build buildings that withstand storms and other hazards..are there restrooms?

The VIP spent over $20 mil on fake farmers and fishermen stimulus and now spending more millions on a festival village 2.0. This is so DUMB!!! DUMB DUMB DUMMMMMMMMMMMMB! How could our so called and qualified engineers, architects etc. come up with this rubbish? We always have Ministers on a plane travelling somewhere for some useless conference. You are telling me they couldn't look at the markets that work well in the other islands and just design it similar to suit what we need here? This is prime flat land in the heart of town and next to commercial buildings housing financial services companies and government offices but look what they build around it? There will be NO parking, NO shade, NO shelter, NO SENSE AT ALL!!!!

Festival boothes are built better for the market than what they have there. Imagine you at the market and a sudden heavy shower comes down. Lord have mercy,. We in trouble. When rain falls at festival the boothes shelter us, something those sun bar can't do..They are not fit for purpose
