12 auxillary officers promoted to police constable within RVIPF

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI– Twelve Auxiliary Officers have been promoted within the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) to the rank of Police Constable, effective Friday, November 14, 2025.

This promotion is part of the RVIPF's ongoing commitment to strengthening operational capacity and enhancing public safety throughout the Virgin Islands. a press release from the RVIPF said. 

The newly appointed Police Constables are Aldaine Roberts, Anderson Cherubin, Arshmer Mitchell, Craig Charles, Deborah Joseph, Donnique Billingy, Laurel Velox Augustin, Omar Grey, Oneka Gordon, Shavonnie Turnbull, Sheriss Telemaque, Stanley Ibechem. 

A new milestone with renewed expectations- Acting CoP Vanterpool

Acting Commissioner of Police Jacqueline Vanterpool congratulated the officers on their advancement, offering words of guidance as they take on greater responsibility. 

"This transition marks an important milestone, but it also comes with renewed expectations. The public looks to you for leadership, integrity, and professionalism in everything you do. Stay focused, stay disciplined, and remember that every action you take reinforces the trust the community places in this organisation. Your commitment is vital, and your service truly makes a difference."

In October 2022, eighteen officers from Cohort 6 were sworn in as Auxiliary Officers after completing eight months of rigorous training, graduating in June 2023. 

Additionally, five members advanced to the rank of Police Constable in August 2024, and on Friday, November 14, 2025, the remaining officers progressed in accordance with available vacancies and the organisation’s commitment to their development.

Two officers reinstated to full duty 

Meanwhile, the RVIPF also confirmed the reinstatement of Officer Andrea Legair and Officer Eric Ollivierre, both returning to full duty effective Friday, November 14, 2025.

The RVIPF extends its congratulations to all newly appointed and reinstated officers and looks forward to their continued dedication to the safety and security of the Virgin Islands.

    I’m not trying to be funny . Some officers, how do they get past the fitness part of the training? Or is there no training in that aspect?
