12 active COVID-19 cases currently reported in VI

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Active COVID-19 cases in the Virgin Islands (VI) is currently 12, according to the latest epidemiological report released by Health Authorities on Tuesday, November 23, 2021.

According to the summary, the latest figure is based on testing done on November 22, 2021, and reported on the 23rd.

To date, some 18,194 persons have been vaccinated for COVID-19 with 16,471 of those persons having received both doses of the vaccine.

Persons urged to monitor for symptoms of virus 

Meanwhile, the latest figure of 12 reported cases comes as the Health Ministry has warned persons who attended two large social events to monitor themselves for COVID-19 symptoms.

The events were the Fish Fete which was held on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Festival Grounds in the Virgin Islands, along with the Phi Theta Kappa Honour Society Induction Ceremony held on Monday, November 15, 2021, at the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College.

Symptoms of COVID-19 include dry cough, tiredness, runny nose, loss of taste or smell, muscle or joint pain, sore throat, headache, aches and pains, diarrhea, a rash on the skin, or discoloration of fingers or toes

    We are told that there is a surge in covid infection reported at two gatherings and then the update says we are down to 12 cases so.......WTF
