LONDON, UK- Eleven children and two adults were taken to hospital after a ceiling collapsed at a primary school in south-east London in the United Kingdom (UK).

According to the BBC on November 15, 2021, pupils were evacuated from Rosemead Prep School in Dulwich after a second-floor ceiling in a Year 3 classroom caved in.

The school said no one had received life-threatening injuries.

All children and staff were safely evacuated from the building, on Thurlow Park Road and 16 people were treated by the London Ambulance Service.

According to the BBC, the chairman of governors said: "Unfortunately, some injuries were sustained and 11 children were taken to hospital, together with two adults.”

Ceiling had collapsed @ ASPS

It was just over 2 weeks ago that a ceiling collapsed in a classroom at Althea Scatliffe Primary School (ASPS) on Tortola.

The ceiling collapsed sometime between Friday, October 29, 2021, and early November 1, 2021.

No one was in the classroom at the time.

      Come on now, how is Showada going to take the blame for this. I am a critic of Showada but I will never cast the blame on him for this. This happened thousand of miles across the pond in the UK not the BVI.

    Its a sad state of affairs when the news is to say its happened somewhere else so its ok! The UK has a health and safety executive that will do a full investigation, there can be criminal charges and the school is immediately made safe. what did we do here? what about some of our schools that are still building sites and the children are in them. why we have to blame everyone else instead of sort our own things out - children need to be in safe schools with teachers to learn , that is our priority surely
