1 injured as boat capsizes @ Leverick Bay

LEVERICK BAY, Virgin Gorda, VI- One person has been reported injured in a boating incident at Leverick Bay, Virgin Gorda, minutes ago, Sunday, May 25, 2025.

According to reports reaching our News Centre, the vessel 'Ondato' with Team 'Pressure' out of St John, US Virgin Islands, flipped with its passengers and crew ahead of the start of the Leverick Bay Poker Run.

The incident, which occurred after 11:00 AM, has been confirmed by the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF).

“The crew and passengers have been rescued. One male has been reported injured and is receiving medical treatment. More details will be provided as necessary,” the RVIPF stated.

      Because he was treated and stabilised before being moved. And then transported at a speed that was safe and comfortable. You want to put him in another go-fast and bounce him all the way to Peebles?

    so why do these speed boats have to go so fast??? The real winner of a poker run is the boat that gets all the cards and burns the LEAST amount of fuel!!!!
