The tournament went extremely well- Coach Atak

Coach Mandi J. Atak, in a statement, said the Dominica Netball Association (DNA) was the perfect host throughout their visit.

“The tournament was extremely well organised, and we cannot thank them enough for putting together such a fantastic tri-series. The clubs we played against were welcoming, competitive, and provided us with valuable experience playing against different styles of netball.”

The final match, she added, was a true showcase of talent and a nail-biting way to end the tournament. “We are incredibly proud of our entire squad for their performances and the way the team came together both on and off the court.”

Atak said the team was also very fortunate to experience Dominica itself. “It is a truly beautiful country, and we were able to see some incredible natural attractions, including waterfalls, hot springs, and stunning lakes. We also enjoyed activities such as river tubing, making this a tour we will never forget.”

Dominica netballers to visit VI

Atak added that they are excited that the Dominica Netball Association expressed interest in visiting Tortola in the future.

“We are grateful to have built this connection and friendship through netball, and we hope to welcome them to the British Virgin Islands next year for another tri-series, potentially alongside Trinidad.”

She said they believe this partnership will continue to create valuable opportunities for players and strengthen netball across the region.
