Flush her out if you cannot flush by Nov. 7

- Sylvester tells 8th district residents how to deal with current rep.
Bevis Sylvester, 8th district candidate at his campaign meeting last evening at Hope Hill urged residents to flush the current representative out of office if the sewerage problem is not fixed by November 7, 2011, the day of the general elections.

HOPE HILL, EAST END, Tortola, VI – Using a 2007 campaign challenge by the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) Government which 8th district candidate Bevis Sylvester said they used to help remove the National Democratic Party (NDP) from Government, he believes it is only fair that the same ultimatum be handed down to them at the upcoming general election.

“If by any chance on the 7th of November, 2011 you cannot flush as the Chairman of the Virgin Islands Party in 2007 instructed us to flush the then ruling party out of power, I think it’s only right that if we cannot flush by the 7th of November that we flush the current representative out for not performing her duties,” Sylvester said during his meeting held at Hope Hill last evening October 14, 2011.

The 8th district candidate recalled that during the 2007 campaigning, the spokesperson for the VIP urged voters that if the sewerage problem is not fixed by August 20, 2007, which was the day of the last general elections, that they should flush the NDP out of office.

“I remember the last election, the last representative before the current representative did not fulfill his promise of completing our sewerage problem and the spokesman … that we listen to for the ruling party, they were the opposition, he said to us if we cannot flush, if we the voters cannot flush by the 20th of August 2007, we must vote the then ruling party out of power… and we went and we did vote them out and we vote them out ridiculously, we give them 11-2,” he said.

Sylvester said it is high time the sewerage problem be fixed which he referred to as a “tourist and resident” deterrent, noting that the current government continues to say they will fix it, or they are getting to it.

“I am saying to us that spokesman is back again … and after four years, they just start to put in some pipes up East End, they up in the alleys giving contracts thinking that we are fools, they think our memories are short. When we elected a lady and that lady sat for four years as our Deputy Premier and four years later we still don’t have the sewerage problem solved in East End Long Look.

When we go in Greenland we are in trouble but this same man told us four years and months ago if you cannot flush, vote them out and we are obedient people and we put a stalwart who we thought could have delivered for us in four years. Its four years later and we still walking in sewerage … Now there is no money, the money is finished people so we will have to walk in sewerage a little longer,” the independent candidate pointed out.

He told 8th district residents that if they do not elect someone “who knows and who has been through trying times of building companies, to the House of Assembly to give meaningful contribution to our revenue situation” – they will continue to walk in sewerage.

Sylvester said the sewerage problem will escalate into an epidemic which will “take us out” as it is only through the mercies of God that the VI is doing well thus far given the current sewerage situation.

Please do tell how she let you down. I saw a presentation done by this lady, and I was shocked. I thought them say that the lady ain't do nothing? Huh, caught in a Lie again, just to win. It looks for me like she spent more in her district than other representatives. She did very good, with the scarce finances that we have. The problem is that she don't "toot" her horn. She worked like a quite storm, and humble as she is.

Nonsense. Everybody know that them greeeeeedy and selfish Ocean Conversion/BVI Investment Club people frustrate the coming of BI-Water so it is understandable to me the time it took. Plus, it was just plain fun to watch em grab at straws, march and all. Still here wondering why Douglas didnt let the bunch of clowns take on the challenge of removing the governor. That part of the saga was exciting, but Douglas saved em. I woulda love love to see the Governor and the crown response to that planned attack.

Another thing, Parham Town/East End/long Swamp weren't even included in the Sewerage Project and the Hon. Dancia Penn, the one who this guy say is a DEAD fought to make sure that they were included. And it push come to shove and where it was needed she would have ensured that The Hope in it too. Apart from what he said and what is said here, I really thought this dude had more sense. Then again school children say he was always dumb in school.

Seriously i have nothing against Dancia but is that the only thing in you all minds...First Deputy, First Premier First...? What does being first accomplish if your district still walks in sh** and the roads in any other country including some third world countries that the people of the BVI like to look down on are better than here???????? I don't care about padding nobody damn resume.....I could care less if she is the first BVIslander on the moon, I care about what you can accomplish in that area.....

She is destined to be what she is. Nobody called here to be the first woman of anything, she was positioned, prepared and God in everything. Same way you would be destined to receive what is due you. As for the district a committee went for her, and practically had to plead for her to come out to run in 2007, including one of them who up and down spreading news. But, you see he when the Almighty Father ready for he for all this nonsense he spreading on this lady who has integrity, fair , honest and everything else he going be well taken care of. Not wishing anything on anyone, but we all know that God don't like ugly and what goes around comes right back at ya, and sometimes harder. Ain't campaigning but he was caught on tape. Liar he that.

You all hear how this guy only on Dancia, like she is the only one he competing against. That is strange. If he wanted to win, wouldn't he be mentioning the other candidates as well? Oh, so what people are saying might be true, Dancia is who he really wants to lose. I wonder why, because this is a woman of character and substance, and very much older than this boy. What exactly is his beef? First she was DEAD, then flush her out,but they are not the real problem. What is it? Does anyone know?

Good comments and suggestions Mr. Sylvester. But I do not know how you can be a part of that change. I realize that Delta may be defrauding the Government by selling fuel but not accurately metering or measure what amounts are being delivered each time. The number of gallons actually delivered has no meter on the valves. This if investigate will bring surprising results. You are a deal cutter. The country needs transparency. The judge has already ruled that your character is questionable. So No Way I say for you. You can have private business but not public office. Sorry Bro

While we talking Delta.......... Can someone please ask to guy to bring down the cost on the fuel cost, cost he sound like he has X-tra Power to do so. That fuel cost on the electricity bill killing we. It almost half the bill for some people. Bring it down Delta........ please bring it down.

Big talkers, we know why you're here to help trip Dancia and make her lose. Go on with your strategies, you and your team of charaders God is ever powerful and ever strong. we already have BETTER MUST COME, so it definitely can't be you. But you already know Nov 7 it will be Dancia or Marlon, you are just a blah blah blah to make the lady lose. Ain't all that glitters is gold my brother. Your family came here to this country as humble people with respect, you however were born here and have none whatsoever. Not even for yourself.

he in it because Dancia must lose for Fraser to lose. The word on the street, and now it's crystal clear what is happening here. He know he can't win. This between Dancia and Marlon, and even Nolan threatening. The thing is he blaming this lady for backing Fraser. also he almost lost a Delta contract through Fraser. But the cost of fuel too high man. You all think back nah. It's coming clearer and clearer.

Only those who have passed through his hands, and those passing through his hands know that kind of leader he is. High handed approach, and he thinks worst than a lot of our current politicians. Some of them highhanded, but they honestly care about people. This guy is not the one for this thing. You all watch his movements good.
