Unstable weather affecting VI, heavy showers possible
Unstable weather is affecting the Virgin Islands.
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Unstable weather conditions is currently affecting the Virgin Islands with the possibility of heavy showers during today Friday November 4, 2011 into tonight.
According to the Department of Disaster Management (DDM) moisture associated with the dissipating tail-end of a frontal trough will increase the chances of showers and thunderstorms across the Virgin Islands today and tonight.
However, they said no Flash Flood Watch or Warnings has been issued but due to saturation of soils, an increase showers may preempt such watches or warnings being put in place at short notice.

Today: Cloudy to sometimes overcast with scattered to numerous showers and a moderate chance of thunderstorms.
Tonight: Cloudy with scattered showers.
Winds: SE at 06-12kts today then becoming light and variable or calm tonight..
Seas: Moderate waves/swells 1.2-1.8m or 4-6ft. Small craft operators should exercise caution..
Barometric Pressure: Near normal.
Sunset today: 5:45 pm.
Sunrise tomorrow: 6:19 am.
