Two busted in VG marijuana field find!

Over 2,000 marijuana plants were discovered.
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Two men who live on Virgin Gorda (VG) were charged on Saturday December 30, 2011 for allegedly cultivating marijuana, and are expected to appear in the Magistrate’s Court sometime during the week.
According to information reaching Virgin Islands News Online, Bakemba George and Lenn Leonard were arrested last Friday after police seized over 2,000 plants and seedlings on VG.
Officers received a tip of several men cultivating the illegal substance in the area near the island’s airport and when they swooped in the men ran away, however, George and Leonard were eventually arrested.
The plants, according to sources, were destroyed.
