ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Despite cameras capturing the images of the two men that carted off over $3,000 of electronic items and beers from Captain Mulligans Sports Bar on December 5, 2011, no arrests have been made.
According to sources, it seems that the men have gone “underground”.
But police and Randy George, one of the proprietors of the establishment, are optimistic the perpetrators will be caught soon.
The burglars stole three televisions, two iceboxes and seven cases of Heineken.
George, in a previous interview with Virgin Islands News Online, had said that one of the thieves is a customer he has seen around the bar.
“It was someone who would come in once in a while, the other one I have never seen before,” he had said.
Footage from the cameras showed the men entering the open bar at around 1:50 a.m. on December 5, 2011 and after they began to scout around – switched off the power around 2:22 a.m.
However, before the power was turned off, at least one television was removed from the premises.

Just publish the photos of the suspects. Name and shame them!
Put the video up so we can identify the lowlifes!
I don’t understand with all the recent robberies why the Police are not publishing the list of items stolen etc. so we could be on the look out? It’s so easy! We have friends, relatives and otherwise who we may see with stuff but don’t think anything strange because he haven’t been provided with information. If we knew what to look out for we would be able to tip off the police. Publish the pictures of these lunatics let’s turn them in, what damn underground you talking about? This is Tortola, they could only run so far! Enough is enough! The robbers are confident that’s why they have become more brazen! Until they start releasing this information so the public could be on the look out, nothing will change.
Recently people have been robbed of expensive electronics such as Apple products, some of which are very rare and would be easily identified if only we were told what to look out for. It’s shameful man and if one of us put a shot in these robbers we will be dealt with by the Police post haste, that’s what hurts me the most! Apparently there was an issue where a person had dogs in their house and they almost bit a robber. The owner was told that if they don’t have a sign saying ‘beware of dog’ then they can be charged if their dogs were to attack a robber. WOW!
we know the thieves so let go the Vidio Randy!
They were son’s of the popo. That’s why dey don’t publish the video. Come on, they know who they were. Look at the tatoo. Stupid is, stupid duz!
