ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- (Posted: 9:30 p.m.) Less than 24 hours after winning over the government with a 9 to 4 seat upset of the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) at the polls, the National Democratic Party (NDP) has already decided on its cabinet members, who will be sworn in tomorrow November 9, 2011, along with the new Premier and Minister of Finance of the Virgin Islands, Dr. D. Orlando Smith.

Virgin Islands News Online can confirm that Fourth District Representative Mark Vanterpool will be the new Minister of Communications and Works, a post held by 3rd District representative Hon. Julian Fraser.

This news agency can also confirm that that 7th District representative Dr. Kedrick Pickering will be the Deputy Premier as well as the Minister for Natural Resources and Labour.

There are also two cabinet positions for At Large Representative Ronnie Skelton and Myron Walwyn. Mr. Skelton will be the Minister of Health and Social Development and Mr. Walwyn the Minister of Education and Culture, a post held by 1st District representative Andrew Fahie.

The official swearing-in ceremony of the Premier and Ministers of Government will be held tomorrow Wednesday, November 9 at 4:00p.m. at the Central Administration Complex (Grounds), Breeze Way.

    Good team!! Where is loyalist? HE said Myron won’t win!! LMAO!! LMAO!!!!! LORD HAVE MERCY!!!!!!!!!!! LOLOL I can’t stop laughing! I don’t know how they could look at both teams and not see that NDP had this thing in the bag, especially at-large candidates! VIP was out-campaigned by MILES!!! They’re NOT a team! Each man for himself but still expected to form a Government in the end, how can that make any sense!! Hope it’s a learning experience! TEAM!
