You can get herpes from a 'blow job' – Noelene D. Clarke
It was the occasion of the Youth Forum held last night Thursday February 20, 2014 at G-Spot, the business place of Mr Shane M. Winter. Kudos were given to Winter for taking the first step in coordinating and hosting the forum that brought together a large group of bikers and water sports enthusiasts for an education session.
While the forum was primarily to focus on the issue of old-fashioned laws in the VI regarding motorcycle importation, the opportunity was afforded Ms Clarke to speak on a number of health related issues and HIV/AIDS and Herpes took front and centre.
According to the health worker, it is a fact that there are quite a lot of homosexuals in the VI and they are the ones most at risk of contracting HIV. While noting that to a greater extent most such men do have their female partners also there is much more cause for such men to practice better health as they can put their female partners at risk as well.
She made it abundantly clear that every person has the right to their sexual preference and same must be respected by the wider population. On the other hand she said prostitutes have been found to the leaders in health-seeking behaviour as not one of them has ever been tested positive for HIV in the VI.
What was found to be alarming though, as is prevalent among the youth population as well, is the spiraling number of Herpes infections in the VI according to Ms Clarke. She said that while the ‘cold sore’ type herpes is not an STI, should a person do a ‘blow job’ when the infection is at a certain stage, the other person is at risk of contracting Herpes at the genital area.
Ms Clarke said that they are continuing their mandate of reaching the wider population with HIV/AIDS and other sexual health messages. She said that every week they are in the primary and secondary schools and have been appealing to the otherwise general public to practice safe sex, seek care and support if infected and show care and support for those who are of certain sexual grouping.
She said that up until December 2014, persons can access free HIV testing as there after that area would be in the hands of the HIV/AIDS foundation.

You have far more chance picking up something with casual sex than from a professional sex worker.
Alot of them say that girls who go to prostitute in places (such as down here) where ain't got nothing in place to protect them and can easily be locked up and deported at the drop of a hat, often play fast and loose with the truth seeing as to how they ain't really scrutinized outside of how them look. They look good, let whomever want 'em have 'em and pay me, is the motto for the dudes doing this thing on the sly down here.
But yeah, legal prostitute over most girls you might meet at random...but then again you should do your best to protect yourself regardless. As nice as a blowjob is, Meen getting none without checking up on said woman. Meen' 'bout that YOLO life....
